BARKA SHIPYARD is one of the group companies of BEGÜM YACHTING. Barka is located in Bodrum-Türkiye around Icmeler Mevki, just 30 minutes driving distance from Bodrum International Airport. The Shipyard has been established in 2005 due to demand for a European standard quality Shipyard based in Bodrum peninsula.

As a modern and dynamic organization, we will achieve the optimum quality and the highest level of service to our clients. From the initial concept drawings to the final construction, sea trials and handover, our dedicated team consisting of Designers, Naval Architects, Project Managers and Engineers will be with you at each stage of the construction, ensuring your complete satisfaction.

Boat Building is a tradition in Bodrum and it is as old as the town, going back at least 2500 years ago. In this town we have kept the tradition by capturing the traditional boat building skills and with training, our local shipwrights have become some of the best shipwrights in Türkiye today building traditional wooden and steel motor sailers ketches and sloops European and American customers are proud of, in any size. Recent technologies are adopted in all aspects of production for the sole purpose of building Super-Quality yachts to fulfill the clients’ requirements. As a modern and dynamic organization, our mission statement is to achieve the optimum quality with the highest level of service to our clients.

With 6.500 square meters of seafront area, of which 1800 square meters is covered and heated, new construction, refit & maintenance works can be carried out on any kind of vessel up to 50 meters with a maximum beam of 13 meters. Barka Shipyard is fully capable of constructing all type of wooden, steel and fiber yachts with the highest of specifications.

Barka Shipyard operates launching & hauling of the vessels up to 50 meters & 400 tonnes displacement.
Working with international designers & engineers is an advantage for us, as we have and use the latest technology in our shipyard to deliver the yachts with the best performance of excellence, just on time. We have been constructing our yachts in accordance with regulations of well known Worldwide Class Organizations’ and certified as CE, LLOYDS REGISTER, RINA, ABS, MCA, BUREAU VERITAS etc.

DİDİM REFIT CENTRE
The facility is laid on 60.000 m² dry-docking area, including two climate controlled 1.000 m² sheds which are 11, 20 meters high,14 meters wide and 60 meters in length. Each shed has two 5 tonnes travelling overhead cranes, all accessible by 400 tonnes travel lift.
